About this site
Play FreeCell is a single-game site. There is one game here, it is free, it needs no account, and it keeps nothing about you on a server.
Where the rules come from
The move rules, the limit on how many cards you can move at once, and the conditions under which a card is safe to send home are taken from the FreeCell FAQ maintained at solitairelaboratory.com and from the Freecell Solver project's documentation. Where the two describe different behaviour — the automatic sending of cards to foundations — this site says so on the rules page rather than picking one quietly.
Deal numbers
Deals use the same generator as Microsoft FreeCell, so a numbered deal is the deal that number has always meant. We check every deal with our own solver before handing it out and skip any board that cannot be finished within a hundred moves.
What this site does not do
- No accounts, no leaderboards, no chat.
- No adverts beside the board.
- No claim that every deal is winnable — one of the original 32,000 is not, and we show it.
